I find it confusing to offer gallery pages for artists to add art within, yet your front page only acknowledges when new galleries are added. Some artists are now creating a gallery page for every image they upload, which goes against the whole concept of the design.
You should change the code on the front page to show images that have been added recently, not galleries.
